“Return of Innocence”
Alf Sukatmo. 2015.
Pencil on paper.
Sudikah kau diam sejenak
Tanpa membantah atau mengeluh
Hingga tertidur di sampingku
Lalu biarkan kubetulkan letak tubuhmu
Membuka sepatu
Membasuh kakimu
Menyelimutimu
Tak lupa kulepas juga topeng cantikmu
Aku akan diam-diam memandang wajahmu
Agar kau tak terbangun
Biar kuusap
Kerut duka di sana-sini dan bekas air mata
Mengeras seperti batu kapur
Tak lama lagi kau buta karenanya
Lalu kuhapus

Thanks, Yaz!
Somehow I think this image totally fits that song of the same title by Enigma. Lovely!
I like Return To Innocence by Enigma. But i think song by My Dear Addiction with the same title have fit with this image as well as Enigma.
Ah, yes, that one, too.
Very beautiful drawing.
Thank you, Tania!
You’re amazing!
Thank you!
Welcome Alf!
You are amazing with pencils my friend! 🙂
Thank you, Patsy. 🙂
You’re welcome, Alf. Out of curiosity, about how long did this take you to do?
This is a small piece, an A4 (22 cm x 30 cm), Patsy. It took a day to draw this, the details on the Javanese shadow puppet (wayang) are difficult to draw.
I usually draw the small pieces like this as my amusement while drawing the bigger artwork.
Wow! Good for you, Alf. I usually have more than one project in the works, too. 🙂
Yang begitu indah. Sekeping pemanasan manis dan jantung penulisan.
Thanks, Darren. Please don’t use google translate, my friend.
Why, doesn’t it work?
No, it doesn’t. The sentences are totally wrong.
Thanks for letting me know, my friend.
My pleasure.
Love it !
Thank you, Taina!
